If conjunction is when two conjuncts are conjoined, then is disjunction when two disjuncts are disjoined? Why or why not? Similarly, if coordination is when two coordinands are coordinated, then is subordination when two subordinands are subordinated? On second thought, that can't be right, because subordination isn't symmetrical—how about this: subordination is when a subordinand is subordinated to a superordinand which is superordinated.
Semi-productive loaned morphology weirds language.
