How'd They Know?

Spammers are getting alarmingly sophisticated.  I just received a piece of email titled:

Hi, Non-mongol

Wow, how'd they know that?  There must be some kind of super-advanced, AI-complete data mining going on behind the scenes.

But how sure can you really be that you're not a mongol? Ghenghis Kahn was a pretty prolific guy.

I've been getting a series like that for a while:

Hi, Neo-manichaean
Hi, Non-archimedean
Need cash, Hiberno-celtic
Order status, Neo-roman
Your cash, Neo-hindu
Your cash, Non-archimedean
Your cash, Palaeo-christian
Your future, Neo-platonism
Your future, Non-moslemah
Your future, Non-slavic
Your health, Neo-latin
Your money, Neo-kantism

Not always accurate, though. Why some spammer decided this was a good pattern for subject lines will probably remain a mystery.
