Quietly and without any fanfare, an important milestone has been reached. Can you feel it? As of a couple of weeks ago, every one of the linguists on my Ph.D. committee has been mentioned on Language Log.
Can you say the same? No. No, you can't. (Unless you can, in which case feel free to leave a comment and declare your membership in my exclusive club.)
I assume having a committee in the first place is required?
If I had gotten my degree about ten or so years ago, then the answer might well be "yes. yes I can." But times, they have changed.
Wait... even your external member? Ah, is that why you said "every one of the LINGUISTS on your Ph.D. committee"?

Yeah, my external member is in Education, which drastically lowers his changes of being mentioned on the Log. If somebody can make that claim (all committee members including the non-linguist), I will gladly do the "I'm not worthy" dance.

It seems I can make the same claim ;-).
