I can't help but wonder at The Tensor's absence.

I live! I've just been busy with dissertation research, which occupies the same part of my schedule as writing blog posts -- that nebulous, extended period where I'm sitting in the basement in front of my computer thinking about linguistics. I'm trying to find a better balance between disserting and posting.
